Cooper found my iPod and asked me to put it on his arm so he could, "go run like Mama?" I tightened it on his arm, turned on some tunes, and off he went. "Bye bye Mommy. I go runnin!"
He walked very slowly and carefully so that the ear buds wouldn't fall out. But kept telling me he was "running like Mama."
You Go Timeout, DinosaurI walked into the hallway to find this in Cooper's timeout spot.
Cooper told me that Dinosaur bit his finger, so he was sent to timeout. I reminded Coop that he shouldn't just leave Dino there and that maybe he should go have a talk with Dino about biting. So Cooper went over to Dino, bent down and said, "No biting, Dino. Biting bad. You bite my finger, you go timeout. Ok?" Then, he picked Dino up, gave him a big hug...
and a big kiss!
I asked Coop if Dino apologized, and I was told, "Dino say sorry for bite." This is exactly the routine we do when Cooper goes to timeout, and I love that he didn't leave anything out--getting on the same level with Dino, talking about what he did was wrong, getting an apology and then making sure to give a big hug and kiss!
