Memorial Day 2011

We've always wanted to check out the Memorial Day celebration in our neighborhood, but before this year, Cooper has just been too young for the 8:00 p.m. start time. But this year, we decided to check it out with the Post family. We packed a picnic, loaded up the Bob stroller, and walked over to the celebration.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra started off the evening and was followed by a fantastic firework display. Cooper had never seen fireworks before, so I wasn't sure how he would react. Either scared or totally into it...could go either way. When the first firework went off, Cooper was hooked! Squealing, clapping, and cheering. He kept saying, "You see that?! Whoa! More more more more!!!" I'm pretty sure I didn't see a single firework because I was so focused on watching Cooper's expressions and listening to his excitement. Philip's phone was the closest thing to a camera I could find, but at least I got a few pics.
Another moment that I love living through Cooper's eyes.
