Lions and Monkeys and Penguins, Oh My!

Cooper's first trip to the zoo! We acted like the gorillas we watched....
Daddy gave us a closer look into some of the reptile cages...
We looked at all the amazing animals together...

We had fun family time...
We loved the penguins the most...
We watched a Tiger play and splash in the water...

We got a little scared of the lizards...

We had a F-U-N day and wore ourselves out!

Cow Appreciation Day

Did you know that today, all day long, is Cow Appreciation Day at CFA?! Yep, if you go dressed as a cow, you'll get a free meal. That's one offer that this CFA fan won't pass up!
So, for the third year in a row, several friends from work and I participated in Cow Appreciation Day. Each year our herd grows, and this year was no different! We've gone to the same CFA all three years, and each year, we get the VIC (Very Important Cow) treatment--saved tables, ballons, cow toys, table service, the works! Kids stare, people smile, other diners take pictures of us; it's kind of like we are celebrities! When I got back to work, our Social Media Team even tweeted a picture of me: http://twitpic.com/9wnf6
It's funny though, people kept asking what "group" we were with, and when they found out where we worked, their response was often, "Oh, that makes sense!" Ha ha!

Happy Cow Appreciation Day!

Happy Independence Day

We had such a fun weekend! Time spent with friends and family, great naps, playing outside, swimming, and enjoying our long holiday weekend.

Our Fourth of July started at the neighborhood parade. We met up at our friend's house and walked over to the parade route. Cooper was doing so great waiting for the fun to begin....and then the parade kicked off with the fire engine siren! Well, that didn't go over very well, and he wanted out of his stroller immediately. Once out though, he loved watching all the kids and different floats going by.

After the parade, we came back home to have a late breakfast, and someone ate a few bites, but then decided he was really tired. Yep, we are now officially snoring!

After a good nap, we headed over to "Auntie" Lisa and "Uncle" Drew's house for swimming and dinner. Plus, Cooper got to play with baby Layla! I think Cooper enjoyed their time together a little more than Layla.

Sweet kisses!

Time for the pool. Coop loved playing catch with the "big boys"--Uncle Saleem, David, Daddy, and two-year old Chapman.

After a long fun-filled day, my little man couldn't keep his eyes open any longer....
...and Cooper was out like a light!
