Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere

A few weeks ago, Coop and I headed to the Arboretum for a Mommy and Me Monday. They have an amazing Fall Festival, with a huge pumpkin patch. Last year, Cooper was too little to check out the pumpkin patch, so I was really excited about taking him this year. We lucked out the day we chose to go because it was overcast and rain was headed our way, so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. After a Mommy and Me music class, Coop and I headed over to the big pumpkin patch, and don't let this face fool you, someone had tons of f-u-n!
After walking around the mounds of pumpkins, I came across this great bench. Cooper instantly became focused on this bench and played for over an hour!

He climbed up and down, up and down, up and down.
A few times, I stacked pumpkins in one corner for him, and he had lots of fun throwing the pumpkins on the ground one by one.
Cooper totally went into his own world while playing on this bench. He just chatted away to himself and moved his little hands around like he was having a conversation with a friend. I walked all around him with my camera, just snapping away, and he only gave me an occasional glance!

I love muddy feet!
And, just before we left, someone became REALLY silly!
Nope, not a pirate, just Cooper!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from the cutest little monkey you've ever seen!
Ok, so maybe Mommy enjoyed the costume a little more than Cooper.
Our Halloween festivities started off with a SWA-style Halloween! We met Erin and little Dinosaur Caden at SWA Headquarters for a day of Halloween skits, candy, and lots of playing. Cooper did pretty well...ok, actually as I type that I feel like I'm lying--who am I kidding? He was a handfull! He didn't want to stay in the stroller, didn't want me to hold him, didn't want to sit quietly through a show. He wanted to crawl, touch, squeal, and practice walking. We're ONE!This is Erin and I with the boys for SWA Halloween last year. If you want to see my post from last Halloween at Southwest, click here.
Little Monkey and Dinosaur waiting patiently...for the moment...for the next skit to begin.
Cooper made it through one skit and decided he had had enough of being still. Luckily it was lunch time, so the boys were able to run and play.

The boys this year...
...and the boys last year.

Halloween night! We had a fun, low key night this year. What in the world is it going to be like next year?!

We didn't have much planned for the night. Philip was in Oklahoma for the UT game, so Coop and I camped out at my parents house. We wanted to do a little trick-or-treating, so we went outside at my parents house and waited for Gammi to bring us a treat.

Cooper loved his Gold Fish from Gammi!

Then we headed to Auntie Boo's and Uncle Saleem's house. "Trick-or-Treat, Auntie Boo!"

Cooper kept taking the candy out of his bucket and tried to hand it back to Auntie Boo!

Happy Halloween from Cooper, "Uncle" Andrew, "Auntie" Lisa, Uncle Saleem, and Auntie Boo!

Salt Lick BBQ

In October, we headed down to Austin for a football game and some delicious Salt Lick BBQ.

Don't worry, Coop didn't really eat a rib. He just held one to check it out. However, this little munchkin loved his smoked turkey and beans!
Always a fun time with Uncle Eddie.
