Cooper loves his bed. He's still in his crib and has made no attempt to climb out of it...yet. I'm going with all the advice I've ever heard saying "keep him in his crib as long as possible!" While I am excited about decorating his big boy room (I have lots of ideas already), I do love that he is completing content in his bed as he is falling asleep at night and after he wakes up in the morning. He will play sometimes as long as an hour before calling me to come and get him. He usually has a couple of board books in his bed, along with his best stuffed buds and Mr. Robot, of course.
This particular morning, it was getting a little late, so I snuck into Coop's room to go ahead and get him out of bed. When I walked in, Cooper was so excited to tell me, "I read truck story to Giraffe!" Cooper had placed Giraffe on his pillow, face up, like he was looking directly at the book Cooper was reading him. And, he had gathered Ooh Ooh and Elephant around to hear the story, too. So, so cute! And so glad I walked in when I did.
