Time with Friends

Last weekend Cooper had so much fun with several of his friends. First, on Saturday night, he got to play with Sweet Penelope, who is eight weeks older than Cooper. Penelope was so interested in Cooper! Coop is still learning how to interact with other little ones, but you can tell he is very intrigued by these other little people!

Here is Cooper and Pen. Such cute friends!

Sunday we got to spend the afternoon with our great family friends, and Cooper had SO much fun! Bob and Candi have such a fun house for kiddos--toys and gadgets everywhere! Cooper LOVED playing with his "cousins" Ben and Bryson. (Our families have been friends for four generations now!) The older boys were so cute with Cooper, sitting on the ground playing with him, being gentle, handing him toys. So precious! When Cooper was in this swing, Ben kept covering him with his "night night." Too sweet.
Coop got to try out a doorway jumper for the first time and loved it so much that Bob and Candi sent it home with us! It's his new favorite activity.
First time on a big swing! And again, Cooper had SO much fun in this swing that we've already ordered one for our house.

So high!

If only we had the following sequence on video! It was hilarious trying to get all three boys to sit on the couch, and it made for some great pictures! I could post tons, but I picked three of my favorite.

High five, guys!
Cooper kept giving Ben kisses, and sweet Ben was so patient with him.

Such a fun time!

Playtime

Cooper is Mr. Active these days. I'm realizing more and more he is just like his daddy--no sitting still for those two! Our newest toy is this exersaucer that cousin Dash loaned us. I love watching Cooper figure out how all of the toys work and seeing his little brain at work--pull that, squeeze this, roll that, and chew on all of it!
Drake is always right by Cooper's side. They are already best friends.
Cute little feet!
Practicing sitting up. We are getting close! I bet by next weekend, he will be able to sit up without any assistance!
Cooper loves Eskimo kisses. They always make him giggle!

Trying to catch one of the kitties. Luckily, the cats are being quite tolerant of Cooper. He is so interested in them recently and loves to grab their ears!
Cooper and his friend, Marshall (10 months old). Marshall is already walking and kept trying to get Cooper up and walking with him. "Come on, Cooper. Play with me!"
Marshall giving Cooper a kiss. I'll have to pull this picture out again when the boys are 18 years old!
Cooper wasn't so sure what to think sometimes of Marshall.

Rice Cereal

Cooper had an extra special dinner last night--rice cereal!! He did pretty well for his first time. Of course, most of it ended up on his bib and his face, but we had a great time. He is still waking up once a night to eat, so I'm hoping this will eventually help to keep his little belly fuller for longer. We'll see! I thought about waiting a few more weeks before starting a little bit of "solid" food, but Cooper has really been interested in our food lately. He stares at our dinner intently, trying to grab everything off our plate. Then, he watches as we move food from the plate to our mouth. He is so interested!

Ready for cereal!
"Mmmm, Mommy has something yummy!"
He did pretty well with the spoon, but he realized it was more fun to play with the food than to eat it!

Funny face! I wasn't sure if this meant he didn't like the taste or the texture? Either way, he was making us laugh!

"Not so bad, Mommy."

Messy face!

All clean and ready for bed.

Bed Head

My little man is so cute in the mornings! This particular morning, I couldn't stop taking pictures of him! Sound asleep...

Rolling over to try to keep sleeping...
"Oh, good morning, Mommy!"
Dressed and ready to go. Crazy hair and all!

The bouncy chair that used to contain Cooper is now more of a jungle gym for him!
"Mommy, I don't want to be in here."

Just a cute pic--playing with his new blocks!
